House of fire

Video/ Installation, 2023

The realistic fire, reshaped through the medium perhaps eliminates the temperature of the fire, the flow, the uncatchability. Instead, access is given to the more invisible properties of fire, such as distance, size, and shape, which are measured in detail. As we are living in a world that is constantly and accurately described by algorithm, is it still possible to get the most primitive materiality?

The virtual fire, generated algorithmically in programs, simulate physical principles constructed purely by logos. When the digital fire is ignited and spreads, it serves as a trigger and a driving force that transforms the virtual space, stirs up the non-existing air, and shines into reality. In this process, can fire provoke new imaginations on the opposite side of materiality?
